The Board of Excelsior Wellness is committed to self-improvement and holds DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) as essential to supporting our core mission, vision, and values. We strive to provide culturally appropriate oversight to the organization and its subsidiaries and recognize our success is dependent on the Board of Directors, employees, and partners of Excelsior taking strong positive action for cultural change. Our commitment provides employees throughout Excelsior the tools and education to build a more culturally inclusive workforce accountable to the communities that we serve.
The Board recognizes the importance of diverse representation. We exhibit our commitment by recruiting community leaders that we do not personally know, engaging in continued learning about emerging best practices, and engagement with the people we serve. We use a diversity matrix to determine areas of needed voice related to gender identity, age, disability, lived experience, industry, and racial and ethnic diversity.
